What a time we had!!

Oh what a time we had! The first teaching on The Four Pillars of a Man of God, "Faith" by Minister Charles Johnson, was outstanding! We learned that faith is now based on what is not seen and what is hoped for, whereas in old testament times it was based on what was seen (pillar of fire, and a cloud, burning bush, etc.) He brought a new light and understanding to Hebrews 11:1.

As men, we must operate in faith as we lead our families and others to Christ and walking in this walk of faith. If we truly want to please God with our lives, we must live faith and not simply talk about faith.

Some things we learned:
- Faith, in its form is hope
- Hope compel you to move forward
- Without faith it is impossible to please God, which is why the world in its current state never please God. Through morality standards, we live faithlessly.
- Hope comples you to not give up and to stay at the Lord's feet.
- God gives us faith building exercises. This is the same as building muscles in a gym.

Some points made by those in attendance.
- How will your son grow if his head (father) is not? - Aaron Johnson, II
- A loss of focus equals a loss of life. - James Parris
- Faith isn't a whole lot of anything, it's simply believing. - Quinnell Wilder
- Faith is whatever you believe; be it good, or bad. - Mike Moody
- If we believe why do we not have a Word for people? - Mike Moody
- Use your Sword more. - Scott Harris
- Like working out you may not always see the results right away. It's a building process. - I don't remember who said it.

I will have the note from Min. Johnson's lesson posted as soon as I receive the text from him.

We also had an excellent turn-out. We had four visitors come out too. Minister Rayfield Boyd, Matt Olson, Myron Addison, & Bro. Tripp's brother-in-law (I'll get his name later and post it).
